The devastating floods in Mthatha displaced families and exposed gaps in flood-risk planning. The infrastructure demolitions in Bongweni Location revealed the cost of settlement design without spatial foresight. The abnormal heat in Qonce showed how local climates are already shifting.

Born in Keiskammahoek (1991) and raised in Qonce, Eastern Cape, Nwabisa holds a Film Diploma from CPUT (2015) and brings over 10 years of filmmaking experience. After witnessing the Mthatha floods, the Bongweni demolitions and abnormal heat in Qonce, she pivoted into rural development — using film, drone and geospatial tools to drive climate resilience.
